Reality TV Star and Conjoined Twin Abby Hensel Is Now Married: Report
TYING THE KNOT
Abby Hensel, a conjoined twin who, alongside her sister Brittany, gained prominence as a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show and later as the titular stars of TLC’s Abby and Brittany, is now married and teaching fifth grade in Minnesota, according to an update on the pair published by Today. Abby and her husband Josh Bowling were married three years ago in 2021, according to public records, and all three live in Minnesota, where Abby and Brittany grew up. The reality TV stars are dicephalus twins, a rare form of the condition in which two heads share the same torso. They share the same bloodstream and all organs below the waist—and each controls one arm and one leg: Abby the right side and Brittany the left. In a documentary about the pair called Joined for Life, Abby and Brittany’s mother, Patty Hensel, said they wanted to have children someday—which is technically possible because their reproductive organs work. “Yeah, we’re going to be moms,” Brittany said in the film. “We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we’re just 16—we don’t need to think about that right now.”
