Al Pacino opened up about his near-death experience while suffering from COVID-19 in 2020. The Godfather actor, 84, detailed the moment his heart stopped and he was brought back to life while suffering from the virus in an interview published on Saturday. “I didn’t have a pulse,” he told the New York Times. “In a matter of minutes they were there—the ambulance in front of my house. I had about six paramedics in that living room, and there were two doctors, and they had these outfits on that looked like they were from outer space or something.” While unconcious, Pacino said “I didn’t see the white light or anything. There’s nothing there.” The film star’s COVID-19 symptoms included a fever and dehydration. Despite his terrifying experience, Pacino added that he isn’t scared of death, and that, with age, his perception of dying has changed. “I didn’t ask for it. Just comes, like a lot of things just come,” he admitted.
